肿瘤干细胞研究进展

摘要 笔者在临床工作期问曾有一位患者,在她去世的八年前被确诊为卵巢癌,查CA125明显升高,行子宫、双附件全切术及四周期化疗后CA125降至正常且未再升高,八年后其盆腔内又出现一肿块.迅速长大并压迫双侧输尿管致急性肾衰竭而死亡.但其肿瘤标志物并无异常升高。此病案说明了一个目前世界上正在极力攻克的难题——肿瘤的复发问题,且其复发往往并不是原类型的复发,即所谓肿瘤的异质性。而在人体中,只有干细胞才有异质性.由此可推论出肿瘤的异质性也只有肿瘤干细胞(tumor stem cell,TSC)所具有。
