洛阳关林镇唐墓发掘报告

EXCAVATION OF TANG TOMBS AT GUANLIN TOWN,LUOYANG

2002年11月至2004年1月，洛阳市文物工作队为配合城市基本建设，先后在洛龙区关林镇中国储运公司802仓库住宅楼考古工地、洛阳市世祺房地产公司世祺嘉苑一期商品楼考古工地、河南省地矿局地质调查一队办公楼考古工地、世祺嘉苑二期商品楼等四处考古工地发掘出唐代墓葬共计61座。

In November 2002 to January 2004,the Luoyang Municipal Archaeological Team excavated 61 Tang period tombs successively about 1.5 km south of the outer city of Sui and Tang Luoyang City and at four archaeological localities in Guanlin Town of Luolong District.These graves are in a good condition with the coffins and burial manner preserved quite clearly,except for eight robbed tombs and a secondary burial.The unearthed funeral objects total 459 pieces.In combination and number they are roughly correspondent to the tomb size,ranging from one or two to over 30.In type there are pottery tomb-figurines (all color-painted,including three-colored),porcelain articles,pottery vessels,silverware, bronzes,ironware,implements of daily use,epitaphs,etc.Chronologically the tombs can be assigned to four phases,mostly to the early and high Tang periods.Their excavation provided important evidence for research on the dating and periodization of Tang tombs,the status of their occupants,the evolution of their form and the combination of their funeral objects.Occurring in a large quantity and reaching a height in shape,body texture,glaze, decoration and technology,the pottery figurines and porcelain articles reflect the developmental level of ceramics in the then Luoyang area,and offered reliable material data to the study of the technological achievements of the early and high Tang periods.
