摘要
本文通过分析决定和影响语言演变的内外部因素对gonna、gotta、wanna变异形式的产生和传播进行了多维研究。既探讨了其语言体系内在的演变逻辑和特征,又从儿童认知特点、语言使用中的省力原则、变异形式的传播规律等外部因素考察了其演变原因和过程,并通过揭示其与英语核心情态动词演变的一致性,探讨了它们成为核心情态动词家族新成员的可能性。
This paper makes a multi-perspective study of the changing forms of gonna, gotta and wanna by exploring both internal and external factors that affect linguistic change. It deals with not only the inner logic and traits of their change, but also the course and causes of their change by observing external factors from the perspectives of specific characteristics of children's cognition, the principle of least effort followed by language users and spreading regularity of deviated forms. Comparison is also made between gonna, gotta and wanna and the core English modals to discuss the possibility of their becoming new members of the family of English modals.
