The important impact of moisture contant in wet strands on reinforcing glass fibers and the factors affecting the drying of strands are summarized, with stresses on the effects of several process parmeters such as ralative humidity and solid content. particularly, incerasing the solid content to reduce the moisture content in strands is most effective to enhance product quality and reduce energy consumption.
