IEC 60480 standards had made definite regulations on reusing and recovering process of SF6 from used electric power equipment. The paper introduced and quoted directly IEC 60480 standards and its related IEC 60376 standards. The original paper explained the practical characteristics and reused regulations of SF6, analyzed and compared the allowable impurity content of SF6 between Ed2（2004） and Ed2,Version3（2007） of IEC 60480 standards. The importance of recycling and reusing of SF6 life cycle management is also emphasized.
