Exploring Reading Strategies of Second Foreign Language

The essay introduces different definitions, classifications of reading strategy, the distinction between reading strategy and reading skill and the principle behind the reading strategy instruction. According to previous studies on the reading strategy instruction at home and abroad, the author thinks it an effective way to raise the students＇ ability of English independent study through the use of reading strategy and the reading strategy instruction in class since the final goal of highly effective English study is to achieve the skills of independent learning, which has the practical significance in the lifelong study of students.
