The paper expounds Emily Bronte＇ s innovative application of Gothic Novel from four aspects： the deepening of the theme, the developing of the depth of mentality of the hero/heroine, the portrayal of the different environment and the original narrative. In Wuthering Heights, Emily combined the Gothic form with the intense emotions creatively, revealed the conflict of human nature, and expressed the strong theme of human sorrow and thirst. Emily＇ s innovative application Of the Gothic Novel has made Wuthering Heights transcend the mainstream of Victorian literature and present its unique artistic fascination.
