The Value of Chinese Traditional Religion in Contemporary Era

佛教、道教等传统宗教在历史上曾发挥过深刻作用,在当前建设和谐社会和新时期民族精神的伟大历史进程中,它们仍有不可忽视的价值。这种价值主要体现于它们有丰富的重"和"的思想,是民族文化的重要载体,是文化遗产的宝库。我们有必要以马克思主义为指导,进一步研究传统宗教文化,并发掘、利用其中的智慧。

Traditional Religions such as Buddhism and Taoism etc. have exerted profound effects in history. Their value cannot be neglected in contemporary era in the great cause of building a harmonious society and reviving national spirits. These religions contain rich ideas about ＂harmony＂ and are important carriers of national culture and great treasttres of cultural legacy. We should study further our traditional religious culture and discover and make good use of the wisdom in them under the guidance of Marxism.
