In every city of Shandong Province, you will feel that the disabled people always get the best of care. The construction of a barrier-free environment has become a public concept spread and strengthened in both work and life. Many cities of Shandong such as Jinan, Qjngdao, Dongying, Yantai, and Linyi are actively engaged in the construction work of creating national no-obstacle cities. Up to now, nearly 10,000 kilometers sidewalk for the blind and more than 9,000 ramps have been constructed. There＇are more than 1700 special traffic signals such as the sound device for the blind crossing, pedestrian controlled crossings, and indicators for the blind crossing. Service places like shopping malls, telecom companies, and banks have provided service counters for the disabled. The environment of the disabled participating in social life has been improved.
