Confucius had many kinds of sport skills. According to records in the classical Chinese works, Confucius attained a very high level of skill in the sports of archery, wagon driving and sprinting. Besides, Confucius was also good at mountain climbing, fishing and swimming and often participated in such events. In the era when Confucius was alive, people's average lifetime was roughly forty to fifty years old. Confucius died at the age of 73, which obviously was a result of his sustained physical exercise.
