On University Library and the Construction of Key Subjects

重点学科建设是高校生存与发展的根本,它需要具有全面支撑能力的文献信息资源保障系统;为此,图书馆必须做好现状分析,分析重点学科建设、文献用户需求及文献收藏现状,采取有力的措施改善馆藏结构,为重点学科提供专题信息服务,开发定题服务和课题服务,建立学科馆员制度,构建重点学科网上服务平台等,以提高服务重点学科的能力;在重点学科文献资源建设中要注意加强图书馆内部、图书馆与重点学科之间、图书馆与院(系)资料室之间、高校图书馆之间的协调和合作。

The construction of key subjects, which is the root of university＇s existence and development, needs the documents and information resources support system with all-round supporting capacity. Therefore, the library must analyze the present situation, analyze the construction of key subjects, document users＇ demands and the current collecting situation of documents. The library should adopt measures to improve the collection structure, provide special information service for the key subjects, develop the SDI （selective dissemination of information） service and the service for research projects, set up the system of subject librarian, construct the service platform on Internet for the key subjects, and improve the service capacity for the key subjects, and pay attention to the coordination and cooperation within the library, between the library and key subjects, between the library and college（department） reference rooms, and among university libraries.
