With the development of science and technology, IT system has almost permeated various fields, and the dependence on IT system is increasing day by day, the IT system is transforming from the traditional back-office support into the direct driving force of trade development. IT system is more and more complex, involving corporate strategy, organization, process, and personnel, etc., the importance and complexity of IT system make itself become a huge threat. With the coming of such a risk, IT governance is born. Concerning this emerging area, one should provide a new perspective of the IT industry and the development of information technology. This paper analyzes the definition of IT governance, discusses the function and implementation of IT governance, and looks forward to the prospects of the development of IT management.
