This paper introduces the general engineering situation and topographic and geological conditions of Pingshang Reservoir, makes the analytic demonstration of the layout and design of the concrete face rock-fill dam and roller compacted concrete gravity dam and the treatment of the dam foundation, compares the economic indicators of the two kinds of dams, and selects the concrete face rock-fill dam as the dam of PingShang Reservoir.
