古汉语植物词“虋冬”名实辨

关于古汉语植物词"虋冬"名实的注解,历来说法不一,或认为即蔷薇,或认为是蛇床子,或认为是麦门冬,或认为当天门冬。《汉语大词典》对此注释也极为混乱。从植物形态与名称两方面进行辨析,"虋冬"应为今百合科天冬属的天门冬。

There are different annotations about the plant word ＂mendong＂ in ancient Chinese. It has been considered as a rose, or a cnidium monnieri,or a ophiopogon japonicus, or a radix asparagi. The annotation in The Great Chinese Dictionary is in confusion. The article discriminates from the plant morphology and plant name and believes that ＂mendong＂ is ＂radix asparagi＂ in liliaceae.
