The Role of VIS in Library Logo Designing

视觉识别系统以理念识别系统为内在驱动力,在组织的对外宣传和对内凝聚中发挥着重要的作用。图书馆视觉识别系统的根基——理念识别系统可分为图书馆行业理念识别、类型图书馆理念识别和个体图书馆理念识别。本文通过对国内外多所图书馆馆徽的调查,总结出图书馆馆徽的三个类型:反映某个图书馆特征、反映图书馆行业特征和图书馆间接象征物,指出这三类馆徽各自的利与弊,并在此基础上提出了馆徽设计中需要注意的几点意见。

Visual identity system is driven by mind identity system and makes difference in public relationship management. Being the base of visual identity system, three types of library mind identity ： library vocation mind identity, style library mind identity and specific library mind identity define the types of library visual identity system. Through a case study of some library logos, the paper concludes the pros and cons of three types of li- brary logo： the one features specific library characteristic, the one reflects the library vocation characteristic and the last one that emphasis on things indirectly relevant to library. A few opinions on library logo designing are also proposed.
