摘要
应用 SOLGAS 软件对钛铁矿炭还原过程进行了不同条件下各种还原产物的热化学平衡组份的计算,重新考察了钛铁矿炭热还原的历程;通过高温炭热还原试验,测定了该过程的还原速率;并查明了还原过程中高钙镁含量的影响,以及钛、铁、钙、镁等元素的行为特征。
China has abundant resource of titanium in form of ilmenite with high contents of Ca and Mg.Separation of titanium from iron is one of the key points in the development of processing technology for direct reduction of ilmenite concentrates by carbon.By use of the computer software SOLGAS, the thermochemical equilibrium compositions were calculated for a Fe-Ti-O -C system at varied temperatures.The results of computation suggest the following mechanism for carbon reduction ilmenite being decomposed with metallic iron formed,followed by conversion of iron to Fe_3C and reduction of TiO_2 to Ti_2O_3 and further to TiO,as the temperature is raised from 850℃ to 1400℃.The experimental findings confirm the suggested mecha- nism It is also shown that there are two peak rates of reduction in the temperature range tested.Under the condition of high temperature,Ca and Mg was segregated into the outer layer of a concentrate particle,forming a barrier to hinder further reduction of ilmenite in the core region.
