On Trilateral Interaction of China, Japan and ASEAN

中国、日本、东盟同处东亚，是该地区最具影响力的三支战略力量。1997年以来，中国、日本、东盟三方渐趋形成一种互动关系，这使得东亚地区的国际关系呈现出新的特征。探讨这种三边互动形成的动因，以及中国、日本、东盟各方在三边互动之中的战略考量，具有重要的现实意义。本文试对这些问题进行简要的分析。

China, Japan and ASEAN had formed a situation of trilateral interaction since 1997. This interaction was caused by Japan because Japan was afraid of losing its dominant position in Southeast Asia. In order to make China and Japan impede each other and control this interaction by itself, ASEAN developed its relations with China and Japan at the same speed. China was happy to this interaction and tried its best to promote the interaction.
