Giving Play to the Party's Role as the Core of Leadership and Increasing Intra-Party Harmony to Promote Social Harmony

党的十七大报告明确提出,"要以扩大党内民主带动人民民主,以增进党内和谐促进社会和谐"。这是我们党从构建社会主义和谐社会的全局出发对全党提出的一个明确要求,也是构建社会主义和谐社会的重要政治保证。认真落实这一要求,对于加快构建社会主义和谐社会的进程,在推进和谐社会建设中加强党的执政能力建设和先进性建设,具有非常重要的意义。

It has been proposed explicitly in the Seventeenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China that ＂we will expand intra-Party democracy to develop people＇s democracy and increase intra-Party harmony to promote social harmony＂. This definite requirement imposed by the Party for all the Party members proves to be a political guarantee for building a harmonious socialist society. It is dramatically significant to fulfill this requirement in that it will accelerate the construction of a harmonious socialist society, and reinforce the Party＇s governance capability and vanguard nature in the promotion of constructing a harmonious society.
