Physical Education Curriculum Implementation in Modern Church Schools

近代教会学校是中国新式学校和新式教育的发端,教会小学、中学、大学多采用西方教育体制,对中国近代教育的发展起到了一定的促进作用。西方近代体育也借教会学校在中国得到传播和推广。教会学校在中小学及大学均开设了体育课程,具有重要的历史意义。

Chinese modern schools and new education originated from the church schools. The church primary, secondary schools and universities implemented western educational system. They had have played a considerable role in promoting Chinese modern education development. Church schools disseminated and promoted modern western sports in China. This article studies the physical education curriculums in these church schools and the important historic significance of these curriculums.
