无籽西瓜新品种新生代的选育

A new seedless watermelon variety——Xinshengdai

新生代是河南农业大学豫艺种业科技发展有限公司以W-19四倍体为母本、F-77二倍体为父本杂交育成的中熟三倍体无籽西瓜品种。全生育期108d左右,果实发育期约34d。植株长势稳健,第1雌花着生于7节左右,雌花间隔7节左右,较易坐瓜。果实高圆形,绿皮上覆宽绿花条;瓜瓤大红,剖面好,瓤质细脆,口感好,中心可溶性固形物含量12.5%,白秕籽小且少,无籽性好。单果重6kg左右,667m2高产3000kg以上。适应性强,全国大部分地区均可种植。2008年通过河南省农作物品种审定委员会审定。

Xinshengdai is a new seedless watermelon variety developed by crossing diploid line F-77 as male parent and tetraploid line W-19 as female parent. It has medium maturity with total growing period of 108 days from sowing to harvest. Fruit matures about 34 days after pollination. The fruit is high globe shaped with green wide stripes on green skin. The flesh is bright red ,crisp and juicy ,and has up to 12.5% center soluble solids. The variety produces strong plants, is easy to set fruit and resistant to disease. The plant produces the first female flower at about 7th node and thereafter a female flower every about 7 nodes. The variety produces good quality seedless fruit with very few and small white seed shells. Average fruit weight is 6 kg and the yield per 677 m^2 is over 3 000 kg. The variety has good adaptability and can be grown in main watermelon production areas in China.
