2008年9月，东风康明斯发动机公司开展了一系列质量改进活动。
通常人们认为，产品从流水线走向质检台，只要质检合格，就意味着质量过了关，而随着行业竞争越来越激烈，仅仅关注产品“出厂合格率”的质量追求已不能完全满足用户的需求。特别是发动机作为中间产品，产品质检合格后还需在整车厂进行装配，围绕整车装配方面的适应性、匹配性也是检验产品质量的重要指标。
Recently, Dongfeng Cummins launched a series of activities for quality improvement of its products.
