汉字与文化传承的关系

On the Chinese Character and Its Relation with Cultural Inheritance

文章针对宋祖英等政协委员提出的关于《小学增设繁体字教育的提案》,从汉字的文化特征的角度进行分析,认为汉字的确具有文化的传承性,但是现代汉字的发展演变又使得汉字的理据性有所降低,如果一味强调传承而忽视了文字的发展,也会矫枉过正,我们应该要在尊重文字自身规律和国家有关法规的基础上加强汉字的文化信息分析,从而培养年轻一代对祖国语言文字的热爱和对本国文化的自豪感。

This paper tries to make an analysis of Chinese character from the perspsctive of its cultural characteristics with the conclusion that Chinese character really possesses a certain function of cultural inheritance.However,if we overstress this point and ignore the development of the character itself, we are likely to commit the mistake of overdoing. The correct attitude we should hold is to respect the law of development of the character itself and analyse the cultural message it carries according to the related decrees of the state so as to cultivate a sense of love and pride on the part of the younger generation towards our traditional culture.
