社区警务是当前及今后相当长历史时期内我国警务建设及警学研究的重点。实施社区警务是增进警民联系、构建和谐社会的重要战略决策,实施社区警务的终极目的就是控制犯罪。正确处理好社区警务与犯罪控制之间的关系,是促进社区警务在维护社会稳定与和谐中发挥作用的重要保障。

Community policing is now and will be the focal point of the policing construction and policing studies in China. Carrying out the community policing is an important strategic decision for enhancing the connection between the police and other people, and for building up harmonious society. The final aim of carrying out community policing is to control crime. Handling correctly the relation between the community policing and crime controlling is a safeguard of promoting the community policing to play an important role in maintaining social stability and harmony.
