The process requirement, design parameters selection and structural design of large-scale electrostatic precipitator used in the sulphuric acid production are discussed. It is proposed that quality of design, manufacturing and installation and careful operation and maintenance are key points to long period and stable operation of large-scale electrostatic precipitator. Practice shows that, only by keeping improvement in each link can the quality and performance of domestic large-scale electrostatic precipitator reach current world advanced level as soon as possible.
