The politically aware and the hate and love——Don Carlo has its debut in Hongkong

威尔第的歌剧《唐卡洛斯》有两种语言版本，法语版本和意大利语版本，今年香港首次公演此剧采用的是较为世人熟悉的意大利语版本，由夏威夷歌剧院、温哥华歌剧院和香港歌剧院联合制作，日本指挥家吉田裕史（H．Yoshida）指挥香港小交响乐团演出。

Verdi's Don Carlo exists in French and Italian performance versions. This September, a co-produc- tion by Hawaii Opera House, Vancouver Opera and Hong Kong Opera had its premiere in Hong Kong. The perfor- mance was conducted by Hi- rofumi Yoshida. In the pit was the Hong Kong Sinfonietta.
