介绍了美国、加拿大和德国3个国家森林生态系统管理模式的基本情况及其相应的社会、经济和文化发展背景,分析比较了它们的基本特征,并在此基础上讨论对我国开展森林生态系统管理的几点启示。

The forest ecosystem management is essentially a theory and methodology governing forest resources management, of which the application is not only involved with natural sciences, or rather more with culture and society. The paper introduces the general situation of forest ecosystem management models in the United States, Canada and Germany, and the related context of social, economic and cultural developments, analyzes and compares their basic characteristics. Based on that, the authors present some insights on the forest ecosystem management in China.
