In the Han Dynasty, filial piety became the core of family ethics and social moral standard and it deeply influenced the people＇s behaviors. Thus the Han Dynasty become the era of dutiful children and the era of prosperity of piety. As one of the practice subject of filial piety, women respect and support their elders with the identity of daughter and daughter--in--law and they play an important role in filial practice.
