明代学者在进行宋史撰述的过程中,经过了一个从强调"夷夏之辨"到注重历史文化认同的思想历程。明代前期,宋史学家纷纷以"夷夏之辨"为指导展开宋史的撰述;至明代后期,在求实思潮的氛围中,宋史学家则以客观的态度,站在历史主义的立场上承认元朝统治,借鉴前代治乱兴衰的经验教训,体现出思想历程的发展变化。

In the process of writing the history of the Song dynasty, the scholars of the Ming dynasty experienced a transition from emphasizing ＂the differences between the Han nationality and the minority nationalities＂ to attaching much importance to all historical and cultural facts and identities. In the early Ming dynasty, the scholars followed the principle of distinguishing the Han nationality from the minority nationalities, while in the late Ming Dynasty, such scholars stressed the historical facts and took an objective attitude towards the rule of the Yuan Dynasty while learning from the past experience and lessons, which reveals the ideological transformation of these historians.
