Since the end of the Cold War, India’s national image on U.S. Capital Hill has undergone fundamental changes. During the Cold War, U.S. Congressmen didn’t take India seriously, and even took a negative attitude toward India. However, in many U.S. congressmen’s view, India has now become 'global strategic partner'. The article analyses these changes of perception and their concealed causes.
