摘要
由于阅读的普遍性,有关自然阅读过程中词汇附带习得的研究是第二语言习得研究的一个重要领域。本文回顾了该研究领域的发展及取得的成就,分析了Meara(1997)的‘词汇量决定汇附带习得量’模式、Laufer和Hulstijn(2001)的"投入量假说"以及Rieder(2004)的‘聚焦、充实’模式,阐述了二语学习者在自然阅读过程中词汇附带习得的认知机制,并从有关的实证研究中总结出影响阅读过程中词汇附带习得的主要因素。
Vocabulary can be acquired incidentally in two conditions, enhanced condition and natural condition. This article focuses on incidental vocabulary acquisition in natural condition which has become an increasingly important sub-field in SLA research. The author traces back the development in this area and analyzes Meara( 1997), Laufer &Hulstijn(2001 ) and Rieder (2004) ' s incidental vocabulary acquisition models through natural reading. The purpose is to explore the learners' mental mechanism involved in incidental vocabulary acquisition in the process of natural reading.
