摘要
本文综述了塑料光纤的现状和发展：介绍了塑料光纤的分类，制作上艺，传输特性和相关标准：讨论了塑料光纤传输系统在局域网和光纤到户（FTTH）等技术中的应用前景。
In this paper we summary the status and development of POF .Then we introduce the classification, production technology, transmission characteristics and standards of POEAt last we discuss the applications of POF transmission system in LAN and FTTH technology.
