智能交通系统是运用先进的高新技术，将人、车、路有机地联结起来成为运行有序的系统。本文重点介绍了智能交通系统在国内外的应用，以及对我国发展智能交通系统的建议。
With the help of high tech, ITS incorporates pedestrians, vehicles and roads into an orderly operated system. Specially introduced here is the application of ITS at home and abroad, with proposals for the development of domestic ITS.
