Synthesis and Crystal Structure of 1-(2-Chlorobenzyl)-2-(2-chlorophenyl)-1H-benzimidazole

The 1--（2--Chlorobenzyl）- 2--（2--chlorophenyl）- 1H--benzimidazole was prepared by the reaction of o-diaminobenzene with 2--ehlorobenzaldehyde. The title compound was characterized by means of elemental analysis and IR. The crystal structure was determined by single crystals X--ray diffraction.
