Modem consumers expect a lot out of the textiles they buy. Of course, they must suit their taste and be health friendly. However, consumers also expect more and more that socially acceptable workplaces are offered to the empolyees in production. In addition, the goods must be produced in an environmentally friendly way as sustainability is required. According to the Brundtland report, sustainability means that the raw materials consumed must also be sufficiently available for future generations.
