论老子“小国寡民”以退为进的超越性

《老子》认为"下士闻道,大笑之。不笑不足以为道。""明道若昧,进道若退"。当人们一再诟病老子的"小国寡民"时,恰恰忘记了老子之"道"那种难以被"下士"们所体认的特性,因而就往往忽略了其所言"甘其食,美其服,安其居,乐其俗"甚至"民至老死不相往来"等等话语中所蕴含的极其伟大超越的智慧。
