The ideal of modern harmonious humanity, as the important theoretical cornerstone of Zhou Zuoren＇s life and art theory, is based on dualism of humanity of Western thoughts. In trying to offer compatriots a modern identity, Zhou Zuoren would inevitably touch the sense of tension and alien qualities of oriental and western cultures.
