An Analysis on Postmodern Evolution of British and American Modern Biographies

运用辨证的批评方法,结合历史分析和社会剖析,通过具体的文本比较分析、创作风格和话语分析来探索英美传记的创作与后现代主义的关系,探索分析美英传记文学在创作思维和创作风格方面发生的后现代嬗变和多元化发展倾向,使人们进一步理解英美传记作家们在后现代主义的影响下放弃对传记的传统文体的追求,以灵活多变的文学性反映信息时代传主精神风貌、开拓传记文学新格局的实践意义。

This paper applies dialectically critical method to the exploration of the relation between auto/biographical creation and postmodernism through combing historical analysis, social anatomy with analysis of concrete texts, artistic styles and words analysis in order to analyze and explore, from different angles, the postmodern transmutation of British and American auto/biographies in artistic thought as well as in style to make people further understand the significance of the practice that British and American writers of auto/biographies, influenced by postmodernism, have adopted the innovative thought to reflect heroes＇ spirits and open up a new auto/ biographical pattern in the information times with flexible and varied literacy, instead of seeking auto/biography＇ s traditional styles.
