Based on the study of its basic meaning and usage, this paper aims to explain the dynamic meaning of the word ‘てしまぅ’ in the specific contexts in the perspective of pragmatics. Besides, with the direction of relevance theory., it tries to reveal the social intensions of the utterance by the speaker; meanwhile, it presents the inference of the understanding process. Finally, it arrives at a conclusion that the social effects of the word includes： to ease the anxiety and burden of the other side, for the addressor has accomplished his responsibility and obligation; to show apology, etc.
