The meaning of demand side management and its present situation in China are introduced. The important significance for strengthening load management and implementing inten＇uptible load management is discussed. The problems existed in the implementation of the interruptihle load management are analyzed. The major measures to implement the interruptihle load management are proposed from administration, finance, technology and guidance.
