Synchronous oncocytoma and Warthin's tumor in the ipsilateral parotid gland:a case report and review of the literature

摘要 目的探讨嗜酸细胞腺瘤合并Warthin瘤的临床病理特点及组织发生。方法报道1例腮腺同时性嗜酸细胞腺瘤并Warthin瘤,并复习相关文献。结果患者男,72岁。因无意中发现右腮腺区有一核桃大小肿物10余天、触痛明显而入院。镜下在同一瘤组织内可见嗜酸细胞腺瘤与Warthin瘤两种组成成分,并可见移行,二者具有相似的免疫表型。结论同侧腮腺在同一瘤体内存在两种不同的肿瘤组织类型极为罕见,它们可能具有相同的组织来源。预后与原发肿瘤的性质有关。 Purpose To explore the clinicopathologic features and histogenesis of oncocytoma associated with Warthin＇s tumor of the ipsilateral parotid gland.Methods A case of synchronous oncocytoma and Warthin＇s tumor in the ipsilateral parotid gland was observed by using HE and immunohistochemistry with review of the related literatures.Results The patient was a 72-year-old man who presented with a mass in the right parotid with pain for 10 days.The resected mass was solid and reddish in gross appearance.Microscopic examination revealed that the tumor was mainly composed of oncocytoma,but some areas showed the morphological patterns of Warthin＇s tumor,and these two tumor cells had the same immunophenotype.Conclusion The presence of synchronous salivary gland tumors with different histopathology in the ipsilateral parotid gland is extremely rare,and both tumor components may have a same origin.The prognosis is closely related with the primary tumor.
