On Economic Efficiency in Running Independent Colleges

独立学院是民办高等教育的重要组成部分,属公益性事业。但民营资本追逐合理利润的本性决定了独立学院必须具备办学经济效益。从探索独立学院办学经济效益的必要性、办学经济效益考核指标的制定、影响因素、经济效益特异性等几个方面,在缺少国家财政投资的情况下,应充分利用社会资金及学费收入,按新机制、新模式,用最小的投入取得最大的产出,从而办好独立学院。

Independent colleges take important roles in non-government funded education. Although education belongs to public welfare, pursuing benefits rationally is the nature of private capital. The paper explores the economic efficiency of independent colleges from various aspects such as the necessity, the assessment criteria, the effect, the features and so on. In order to obtain the maximal benefits with the minimal investment, it is significant for independent colleges to find the reasonable way to make full use of social funds and tuition under the new mechanism and mode.
