Taking the case of 3522 fully mechanized coal face in Zhuzhuang Colliery, the authors have introduced the safe and effective approaches to passing fault crush zone under the condition of soft seam, which include the management measures of overhand and underhand mining, control of rib fall and advanced roof management.
