警察体育是体育学与警察学相交叉的一门基础性学科,既具有体育学的属性,又具有警察学属性。它是利用体育学中运动项目的身体素质训练内容、方法、手段来发展和提高公安民警的身体素质,并在此基础上,结合警务实战中相关专项身体素质要求,来发展和提高警务实战专项身体素质,为警务实战技能的发挥奠定基础。
