高职院校学生英语阅读现状分析——以石家庄职业技术学院为例

An empirical study of the English reading in vocational colleges——A case study of Shijiazhuang Vocational Technology Institute

对石家庄职业技术学院学生英语阅读基本情况和阅读习惯的问卷调查表明,目前多数学生是把英语作为一种工具来学习,其英语阅读材料仅局限于英语课本,平时用于英语阅读的时间较少,在英语阅读中的主要障碍是生词太多,在阅读中总是采用同一方式进行阅读;多数学生存在不良的阅读习惯。为此,教师要引导学生进行大量而广泛的阅读,讲授一些阅读技巧,培养学生良好的阅读习惯。

The research uses a questionnaire to investigate English reading habits of students. Result shows that most students learn English as a tool and they mainly read the textbooks, seldom spending time on reading other ex-curricular English materials. Most students have many new words and bad reading habits. Therefore, teachers are advised to encourage students to read extensively, use reading techniques and keeping good reading habits.
