Through an interpretation of the letters between the famous librarians Qian Cunxun and Li Xiaoyuan in the 1930s and the 1940s, this paper traces the relationship between Mr. Qian Cunxun and Nanking Journal, an academic journal of Jinling University. This paper also speaks highly of Mr. Qian and his selflessness and devotion to the smooth publication of Nanking Journal in the war period as well as his far-reaching influence on and great academic contribution to this journal.
