高职公共英语教学引入ESP模式的可行性分析

On the Compatibility Analysis of Applying ESP Mode to English Teaching of Higher Vocational Colleges

当前高职院校的公共英语教学仍在沿用普通高校的大学英语教学模式,尚未形成自己的特色。从问卷调查分析高职院校公共英语教学现状入手,通过解析ESP的性质、特点及教学原则,指出ESP模式与高职教育培养目标相一致,适用于高职公共英语教学。将ESP引入高职公共英语教学,有助于改善高职公共英语的教学现状,提高高职公共英语的教学质量,实现高职英语教育的目标。

English teaching mode in higher vocational colleges should be different from that in general educational institutions. But the present situation is that there is no difference between the two. The author, based on a prelimlnary analysis of ESP mode and a questionnaire, found the compatibility of ESP with the cultivating goals of higher vocational education. This article holds that applying ESP mode to the English teaching in higher vocational colleges will change the present English teaching situations in higher vocational colleges and thus the teaching efficiency tremendously.
