On the Relationship between Urban Sculptures and Public Environment

公共环境是城市雕塑存在之根本,而城市雕塑又使公共环境的发展趋向美化、和谐。城市雕塑在从设计到安装设置的过程中要充分考虑到公共环境所带来的影响因素,不但要与当地城市环境达到和谐统一,也要符合当地人文文化的特色,易于被公众所接受,避免曲高和寡的现象。

Public environment is the base for the existence of urban sculptures, while urban sculptures further beautify and harmonize the development of public environment. The design and installation of urban sculptures must be put in a big picture, and the effect on the public environment must be evaluated. The urban sculptures should be in harmony with the surrounding environment, and focal cultural features.
