隐私权和知情权是公民的最基本权利。知情权的实现有多种途径,但对于大多数公民来说,最直接、最迅速、最多的是依靠新闻媒体。一个要隐私,一个要知情,隐私权与知情权的行使在现实生活中多有摩擦发生。分析二者之间的关系及媒体平衡两种权利的原则,提出媒体避免侵权行为发生的几点建议。

Right of privacy and right to know are the fundamental rights of citizens. There are many ways to realize rights to know, as to most of the citizens, the most direct, most speed, most common way is to rely on news media. One asks for privacy, the other for right to know. Therefore the accomplishment of right of privacy and right to know often brings into some friction in real life. This paper has analyzed the relationship between the two rights and the principles for media to balance the two rights and proposed several suggestions to avoid infringement.
