夏布的特殊外观特征以传统观念看只能靠传统的手工制作实现,因而制约了产业的快速发展。事实上,保持夏布的传统特色和特殊风格主要依赖于苎麻纤维的特性和绩麻成纱这一核心工艺,因而利用现代织造、印染和后整理加工完全可以提升夏布产业水平。文章从夏布的美学特征、技术特征、应用前景及其加工技术等方面出发,对夏布产业的原料、产品、加工技术、目标市场开拓等进行了研究,并充分考虑消费者的消费需求、消费心理及美观感受,对夏布产业的发展提出了新的思路。

The unique appearance of grass cloth could only be made by hand traditionally, which limited the rapid development of the grass cloth industry. However, the maintaining of the unique appearance and style depends on characters of ramie and the core craft of its yarn formation. The grass cloth industry can be upgraded by use of modem weaving, dyeing and printing and after finishing. In this paper are researched the raw material, product, processing technique and market development of the grass cloth industry with some new ideas in the development of grass cloth pointed out to meet the requirements of the customers.
