Comment on "Bioethics is love of life"

Macer教授以"爱"作为普遍的伦理基础,来概括生命伦理学的本质、或以爱为生命伦理的基本概念,可资证明其有效的资源和证据十分有限。其实,"爱"与其说是基础,还不说是伦理学起源的一个动因,因为从伦理学的源头来说,绝大多数都与同情和仁慈有关。

Professor Mater summarizes the essence and concepts of bioethics with love as the universal ethical basis, but it effective resources and evidence proves to be limited. In fact, the ＂love＂ could be the motive of ethics rather than the basis of ethics. For the origins of ethics are vastly related with compassion and mercy.
